Leafcutter Ants


Both are queens. Unlike other ants, however, queens possess a pair of wings. These are only used for the nuptial flight, and are later detached either by the queen herself or chewed off by her worker ants.

I think the back one is dying, while the front blurry one is watching. I didn't wait to see what happened but this image makes me sad. It was like seeing you loved one dying.
